Most clubs use more than one, because each reaches people at a different moment: deciding where to go tonight, buying a ticket, or following a promoter. The platforms, compared

  • Portl. A Dubai social discovery app for nightlife, restaurants and events. Guests join guestlists, book tables and see who's going; venues launch guestlists, tables, offers, ladies' offers and events, and see who booked, visited and returned. Venues list through a form on its website, which publishes no venue prices.
  • Platinumlist. A ticketing platform for events, attractions and nightlife. Organisers and venues sell tickets through it, with services such as marketing and reporting. Its home page does not state fees.
  • Promoters. Promoters fill guestlists and tables from their own following. You agree the terms with each one, so ask how they count guests and how they are paid.
  • Instagram and TikTok. Free to post, and where many venues announce their nights; reach depends on your following and any ads you run.
  • SCNE. List your events and nights so members RSVP and see who else is going, and set a member offer such as free entry or a 2-for-1 on the days and times you choose, with a limit on uses per member each month. What to look for in a nightlife platform

  • People deciding tonight. People often decide where to go on the night itself, so be where they look before they go out.
  • Offers on your nights only. Free entry, a ladies' night drink or a 2-for-1 should run on the nights you choose, not every night.
  • Numbers you can use. Redemptions, bookings and repeat visits by night, so you know what filled the room.
  • Bookings that come to you. Table bookings in your own system, and a clear guestlist process at the door.
  • Costs you can see. Ask what each platform charges before you sign: a subscription, a commission or a fee per booking.

What is the best app to promote a nightclub in Dubai?

There isn't one app that does everything. Portl covers guestlists and tables, Platinumlist sells tickets, promoters fill guestlists, and social media announces the night. SCNE lists your events for members to RSVP to, with a member offer on the days and times you choose, on a free plan with no setup fee.

How do Dubai clubs fill quiet nights?

Give people a reason to come on that night, such as a themed night, a ladies' night or a guest DJ, put it where people decide where to go, and keep any offer to that night. On SCNE a member offer can run on chosen days and times only, with a limit per member each month.

Can promoters use SCNE?

Yes. A promoter account is a member account that can also post events under the promotion's name, approve guests and check them in with QR codes. Venues find promoters under Discover Promoters in the partner dashboard.

What does SCNE cost for a venue?

Venues start on a free plan with no setup fee. Paid plans with more reach, such as featured placements and more listings, are available on request: email partners@scne.ae and the team will talk you through them.

Do I need to connect SCNE to my till or booking system?

No. Your Book button opens the booking system you already use, such as SevenRooms, TheFork, WhatsApp or your website, and offers are recorded when your team scans the member's QR code in the SCNE partner app. There is nothing to install at the till.
